Last episode:

We've seen so far how Da Wei's mother has taken over the company, forced Qi Xuan out on the streets after Xi Xuan's father passed away. Qi Xuan just wants to concentrate on earning money his own way, but Wu Yan, Da Wei and Howard convinces him to do something more to take back his company. So, Qi Xuan decides to develop a unique perfume scent that his deceased mother developed.

Before, Qi Xuan gave up on Wu Yan because he has lost everything, and was angry at Wu Yan for not telling him about his father's sickly condition.
But, he realises that he needs help from Wu Yan, and accepts it. He's reluctant to accept Howard's help as he knows that Howard loves Wu Yan and is doing for her benefit, but later Howard makes it hard for him to reject it. He also gets help from Wu Yan's family, who contributes to the capital to start off the business by himself.
When his perfume scent succeeds, he decides to propose to Wu Yan, which she accepts.

Zhong Wu Yan is a fearless, righteous girl who lives in a countryside area called Shan Shui Xiang.  She's almost good in anything, but has something that makes her insecure and makes her feel like an outcast: her bright red birthmark on the far corner of her face. Due to an earlier encounter with Qi Xuan, she has a long time crush on him.

Qi Xuan, is a playboy who comes from a wealthy background. His father owns a big cosmetic company. His good friend, Da Wei and his mother works for the company too. Father is disappointed with Qi Xuan, as he's lazy and seems like he's incapable of anything. But, he still announces to the Board that he wants Qi Xuan to become a director.  At the same time, Da Wei's mother is plotting to take over the company.

Wu Yan finds out that Qi Xuan isn't the person she imagined him to be. Rather he's arrogant and completely mannerless, and keeps calling her ugly. She decides to teach him a lesson, and makes him accountable for his action. Wu Yan is also attracted to a model, Ying Chun. Ying Chun has a past as a plump ugly looking girl. But, because of Wu Yan's one time kindness to her, she went for plastic surgery and now is a successful beautiful model. Wu Yan starts dating Ying Chun, not knowing her past.

Before we get to the end, Xin Lei realises that she loves Qin Lang. However, she feels obligated to marry Shang Dong when her  parents are help by Shang Dong to come out of hiding. Qin Lang meanwhile senses her obligation, and when he compares with himself with Shang Dong, he feels inferior to him. Therefore, he gives her up to Shang Dong, and helps him so that he can give happiness to Qin Lang.

Xin Lei (Barbie Hsu) is an intelligent, confident and beautiful girl who has never known a day of hardship. Her father is a wealthy business tycoon in Shanghai and she is engaged to Yin Shang Dong (Chen Zhi Kai) who in her eyes is also perfect in every way. She lives a life of fairytale as everyone dote and treat her like a princess. Until one day, she meets Qin Lang (Show Luo), when her car and his bicycle crash into each other by accident at a corner. Qin Lang is a frustrated artist whose father abandoned him and his mother to pursue his passion for painting. He went to Shanghai with the hopes of pursuing his dream of becoming an artist but was cheated out of his money, passport and plane ticket. In order to earn enough money to go home to Taiwan he works as a cook, making oyster omelette, a skill passed down by his grandmother.

Xin Lei and Qin Lang meet again when she goes to a restaurant that specialises in Taiwanese food, that Qin Lang happens to works at. She wanted to learn how to make oyster omelette in order to impress her fiancé's parents with her cooking skills. He is initially reluctant to teach her as he is annoyed by her princess complex but at the same time, he is drawn to her. After much bickering and mis-understanding they become friends.

So far…
You Qing finds out from Maggie that Da Ren loves her, but is torn by her feelings for Li Wei. Da Ren has transferred to Singapore as he can’t bear to see You Qing and Li Wei together, realising that he can’t put a lid on his feelings.

You Qing agrees to marry Li Wei because Li Wei has shown that he really loves You Qing, but starts to prepare a rushed wedding as per Li Wei’s grandmother request. Throughout the wedding preparation, she argues with Li Wei on their apartment size, her dress etc. She wants it simple, but Li Wei wants it as grand as possible, and the best for her. You Qing gives in but as they are near to the wedding date, gets upset and even more disillusioned that marriage life may not be as blissful as she imagine. You Qing is also upset because she doesn’t know how to tell Da Ren about her upcoming marriage, so she hastily asks Da Ren to inform him.

Meanwhile, Da Ren also finds out why You Qing doesn’t inform him personally about her wedding. She knows!! His heart breaks as he finds out too that You Qing has been leaving messages on his Taiwanese phone number (he’s in Singapore) expressing her thoughts just like before, when they had their heart to heart talk. He decides to fly back to Taiwan, and even it breaks him apart, he has to give his blessings, as he’s still her best friend. Da Ren doesn’t find You Qing at home, pens her message. He tells her that he’s returning to Singapore, and that’s he’s sorry he can’t attend her wedding. He just wants to know he has lost, but it’s worth it. All he wanted to do was to hug her and comfort her when she was down, and that he doesn’t want to be a friend, can he love her instead?

You Qing at the same time is having her pre marriage party with her schoolmates. She gets a shock when she finds out that Da Ren has always loved her since high school days and even composed a song for her. She listens to the song and cries when she hears him sing that though he’s secretly in love with her, he has to pretend not to love her.

The drama starts with Cheng You Qing (Ariel Lin) having a nightmare of time chasing after her. At her work as a manager at the shoe department at a departmental store, she realises that she has turned 30 years old. She receives an email from her best friend, Li Da Ren (Bolin Chen) who congratulates her and also sends an email of “50 signs of Premature Aging” and she becomes fuming mad with him.

You Qing and Da Ren were classmates since high school, where You Qing always gets elected as class monitor and Da Ren as assistant monitor because there’s a majority of 16 girls as opposed to 15 boys in the class. Because of this inequality, there is a rift between the sexes. You Qing although tough talking and stubborn, has always been a champion of justice in her school days. She even spoke out and complained to the headmaster when she found out that one of the male teachers was sexually harassing students. But, the headmaster sides with the male teacher, and she gets threatened that if she pursues the matter, she will fail her grades. Da Ren overhears, and trails her back home. As she nears her door, he tells her it’s ok even if they get transferred. And that she’s right in what she did. She looks suspiciously at him, but then he asks her not to misunderstand him coz’ “ it’s impossible to love you”

Fast forward to the future, Da Ren is now a superior of all the counter staff at the airport. He is patient with his colleagues and the customers, with the right balance of justice as he disallows customers who violate rules and regulations. Therefore, he’s well liked by everyone.

Da Ren waits patiently for a late You Qing (who went to helped a pregnant friend) for dinner with take away food. While they eat, they squabble and ends up with You Qing irrirated when Da Ren says that she’s imperfect. She asks him then, which part of her is imperfect, which drives Da Ren to frustration. Anyway, they end up with a bet. Da Ren tells her that whoever gets married before 35 wins 20,000, which gets You Qing excited. She raises the bet to 100,000.

On to the last episode:

Gyu Won has to leave the country for a year for training as a solo artist. But, when she realises that Lee Shin is hurt (but not knowing about the surgery), she breaks off the contract with the company. Lee Shin finds out, and he decides and announces to her that they need to break up. His reason is that long distance relationship would not work.

Both are heartbroken, but Lee Shin is determined that Gyu Won will not give up her career.

Gyu Won then leaves the country, and Lee Shin goes for his surgery.

Time jump here, and it’s 1 year later.

Now, going towards the ending:

Lee Shin realised that he likes Gyu Won, and starts to show attention to her. Because of Gyu Won’s fear of dating the most wanted person in uni, he takes step to declare to the world that she’s his.  He takes her to uni, and holds her hand while leading her past scores of student gaping at them. Then, he also  sings in front of an audience at his band performance about his love for her, and kisses her in front of everyone.

The director gets into trouble for showing more attention to Gyu Won, and in the end his production gets cancelled. It turned out that Hee Joo and mother schemed all this so that  Hee Joo will be in the spotlight instead of Gyu Won. But, everything doesn’t turn out well for them as Hee Joo finds out from the doctor that she would lose her voice.

 Lee Shin is a university student majoring in modern music. He is also the vocalist and guitarist of the band "The Stupid." Shin is known for his good looks, cocky personality, and strong passion for music. Everyone sees him as a cold-hearted person, but he's actually soft inside. He lacks interest in anything unrelated to music and has neither dreams nor plans for the future.

Lee Gyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Gyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age and his biggest wish is to see his granddaughter become a traditional music prodigy. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Gyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing outside of her studies. As her friends are fans of "The Stupid", she was forced to go to the band's concert with them. There she saw Lee Shin performing live, and is immediately captivated by him.

Meanwhile, the University has  hired a famous musical director, Seok Hyun  to direct its big 100 year anniversary performance. However, he finds out that his ex girlfriend, Yoon Soo, a famous ballerina who left him to pursue her career, is also teaching at the school. Seok Hyun takes advantage of his position to direct a play which is based on his and Yoon Soo love story.
